Overall Review Rating of this Murad Eye Cream: 35/100
This expensive cream makes astounding claims to reduce dark circles underneath the eyes by over 59% and to reduce puffiness by up to 50% on average. Murad Lighten and Brighten Eye Cream is making very large claims with this product. Not designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, this is not your complete anti aging solution, but if these claims hold up to our testing, it certainly could be a recommended part of your daily routine.
For this product we wanted to compile a large customer base, so we gathered 34 consumers willing to test and use this product for a period of 8 weeks. While this was rather pricey for testing, we wanted to give this product a real chance to prove these claims. Well it did not take long to realize this product’s claims were not substantiated. Through four weeks, testers reported little to no results, none. The only reports of change during that period of time was a minor outbreak on the skin. Clogged pores and other small bumps were noticed by nearly a third of the testers.
Our Impression
After six weeks of using this cream we did begin to notice some reduction in puffiness and darkness under the eyes. The claims of 59% and 50% are comical in retrospect, in fact the numbers that we saw were closer to 10% reduction. The irritation and breakout that was experienced was noted, but not alarming as many powerful and effective treatments will cause a reaction, but this did not result in the skins renewal if itself. It simply remained as an ongoing side effect during our eight week testing period.
Recommendation
At $75 per 0.5 oz, we are not going to recommend this to you at all. The supply provided by the bottle is just under 30 days of use and it took us close to the full 60 days to realize the benefits. It is just too costly for any serious consideration. As is the case with many expensive eye creams, they inflate the price to account for the lack of reorders and in hopes of convincing you of its quality based solely on price. Fortunately, we are here to steer you in another direction…stay away from this one, waste of time and money.

BE CAREFULL this product was a bit too strong for my skin. I do have sensitive skin, but my neck area just couldnt handle it.. i got a little red, and had to stop using it.
I use this during the day, but I dont see any results. Its just not a good eye cream.
I just saw the price of this stuff. My wife has been buying this for months. Do you mean to tell me that you people pay this much for a 1/2 of an oz. That is silly, my wife looks the same.
My daughter in law got me this, I am not sure I can see any difference, but I have gotten some compliments about my eyes lately. Maybe it is, who knows. But its all I am doing differently. I guess I recommend it.
I used this cream for 90 days cause I read a eye cream review on it. I saw no results. This is supposed to be the best? I don think it is anything more than average. I rate it medium.
It is too expensive for the amount of product that you get. I can not afford to keep using it, not that I would with these results. It is just average
How can anyone afford to pay this type of money. I use these creams twice a day. I can not afford $150 a month for just an eye cream. Not to mention i saw not benefits, but then again i did not use it after the first tube.
I liked it, I did not rebuy it…I guess thats bad, but i remember liking it, just not the price. But if you have it, you will like it.
I was terrified after I saw the results. My husband even asked me if I had started using it yet and I was almost done with the whole thing. I wish I read this eye cream review before.
I think my skin looked better after using this cream. This is not a great cream, but I am not going to say I looked worse. It helped even out the tone of my skin.
